Privacy policy
What we collect when you ask us for a quote, what we do with it, and what we don't do with it. Written to describe what actually happens, not what sounds reassuring.

What we collect
Only what you type into a form on this site, plus a small amount of context about the submission itself. We do not buy lists, and we do not track you across other websites.
What you give us
- Your name, phone number and email address.
- Your property address and ZIP code, when you provide them, so we can confirm which utility serves you and whether you are inside our service area.
- Details about your home that are needed to size a system — number of bathrooms, residents, fixtures, laundry and dishwasher demand, where equipment could go, whether a drain and an outlet are nearby, any pressure concerns, and your water provider or source.
- Anything you choose to write in a notes field.
What the form records automatically
- Which page the form was submitted from, and which form it was.
- If you ticked the consent box, the date and time you did so. We keep that because the law governing calls and texts requires us to be able to show it.
What we do not collect
- We do not ask for, and have no use for, payment card numbers, bank details, a Social Security number, or a date of birth.
- We leave no copy of your submission on your device. There is no advertising cookie and no cross-site tracker. The one thing stored in your browser is a Google Analytics cookie, covered below.
Why we collect it
To answer you. Specifically: to prepare a quote, to size a system correctly for your home, to schedule an installation, and to follow up about the inquiry you made. Sizing genuinely requires the household detail above — a system chosen without it is guesswork, and we would rather ask than guess.
Calls and texts
If you tick the consent box, you agree that we may call and text you about your quote at the number you gave us, including with automated messages.
Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can buy from us without agreeing to automated messages — call us instead. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, and we will stop.
Opting out of texts does not delete your quote, and it does not stop us replying to an email you sent us.
Who else sees it
Two categories of people, and no one else.
- Our customer-management software. Submissions are delivered into the system we use to track inquiries and schedule work. That provider processes the data on our behalf and under our instructions.
- The plumbing contractor who installs your system. Installation is performed by an Alabama-licensed plumbing contractor, who necessarily receives your name, address, phone number and the details of the work.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising. If that ever changes we will say so here before it happens, not after.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people actually read. That is the only third-party script on the site. There is no advertising pixel, and nothing here follows you to other websites.
What it collects
- Which pages you looked at, in what order, and for how long.
- How you arrived — a search, a link, or typing the address in.
- Your device and browser, and a rough idea of your city, worked out from your internet connection. Google does not give us your full address on the internet.
- Whether you submitted a form. We record that a form was sent and which one, so we can tell which pages lead to real inquiries.
Your name, phone number, email and street address are never sent to Google. Those go only to the system we use to track inquiries, and to the plumbing contractor doing your installation. Google's own terms forbid sending them, and we have no reason to.
Cookies, and how to turn it off
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to tell one visit from another. You can block or delete them in your browser settings at any time. Google also publishes a browser add-on that switches Analytics off everywhere, at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Blocking it does not stop you using this site or getting a quote.
If we ever add advertising measurement — a Meta or Google Ads pixel, for example — we will name it here and say what it does before it goes live, not afterwards.
How long we keep it
Inquiries are kept while we are working with you and afterwards for as long as we may need to service what we installed or answer a warranty question. Records of consent to be contacted are kept for as long as the applicable rules require. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will, except where we are required to retain something.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text message to stop texts.
- Ask us to stop calling, and we will.
- Ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it.
Use the phone number or email in the footer. We are a small company — a real person will handle it.
Children
This site is meant for adults arranging work on a home. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If we change how we handle your information, we will change this page and update the date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than quietly folded in.
Contact
Questions about any of this go to the phone number in the footer, or write to Cahaba Water Co., Greater Birmingham, Alabama.
This policy describes practices as of 24 September 2026.
