Cahaba Water Co.
Cahaba Performance 75 Drinking water

More output, plus pressure support.

What it does: treats the water at your kitchen tap and makes more of it per day, with a pump behind it.

Performance 75 is for homeowners who want higher production and an integrated booster pump while keeping a traditional under-sink RO system. Five-stage treatment, nominal 75 GPD production, and treated water already made and waiting in the tank.

What you get

Higher production, with the pressure to carry it.

More gallons a day at the drinking tap, and a pump that keeps the membrane fed.

This is the traditional under-sink system, built for a kitchen that asks a lot of it. One published price covers the equipment, the licensed installation and the warranty.

Included at $1,095
  • 75 GPD nominal platform — a higher production rate, so the tank refills faster behind a busy kitchen.
  • Five-stage treatment — the configuration this platform ships in, sediment and carbon through the membrane to the final polish.
  • Integrated booster pump — feed-pressure support built into the system rather than added on later.
  • Traditional storage tank — an NSF-certified 3.0-gallon tank, so treated water is already made and waiting when you turn the faucet.
  • Professionally installed — a licensed Alabama plumbing contractor, one visit, tested and sanitized before we leave.
Who it suits

A kitchen that draws hard on the drinking tap.

A full house, a coffee routine, water bottles filled all day, a pot on the stove. Nominal GPD is how fast the system refills the tank, and on a heavy-use tap that rate is what you feel. Pick it too where the cold-water pressure feeding the cabinet could use the help.

Choosing Pure 50 instead is a demand question about your house, and plenty of homes are better served by it. See Cahaba Pure 50 at $995.

What it's certified for

Certification is specific. So is how we describe it.

In plain English: we print the exact words our paperwork supports.

A claim that belongs to one product stays with that product, and a certified part is a different thing from a certified system. Here is where the line sits on this one.

Performance 75 — the certification statement we publish
What is documented, and where the claim stops

The manufacturer identifies the membrane and the storage tank as NSF certified, not the complete system. That is the whole of our certification statement for this system, quoted rather than summarized

Ask and we will send you the manufacturer's documentation, so you can read the same sentence we are reading

Each platform on the range carries its own statement. We quote each one where it belongs and keep them apart

Complete-system certification is a separate thing, and we do not claim it for this platform. If that is what you are shopping for, the Cahaba Pure 50 is the one to read

What the step buys

Two documented differences, and we price on both.

Two things change from the Pure 50: the gallons per day, and the pump.

Going from Pure 50 to Performance 75 changes two things we can show you in writing, and both of them are about how much water your house wants and how hard it is being pushed.

01 · Production

Nominal 75 GPD instead of nominal 50 GPD.

GPD means gallons per day, so it is a rate. It describes how fast the system refills the storage tank, which is what a hard-working drinking tap asks for: a full kitchen, a coffee routine, water bottles filled all day.

02 · Feed pressure

An integrated booster pump.

A reverse-osmosis membrane works against the pressure feeding it, and that is what feed pressure means. The pump gives the membrane more to work with, which is why we list this platform for homes that want more water per day or that want the pressure supported.

Higher GPD is a rate of production, not a reduction figure. The step up from Pure 50 buys output and feed-pressure support, and that is exactly how we price it. Each platform carries its own certification statement, quoted word for word, and we will read you either one before you decide.

Against the Pure 50

Read both columns, then pick on demand.

Pure 50 is the system most people buy, and for most homes it is still the right answer. Here is what changes if you step up.

More output, plus pressure support.

For homes that want more water per day, or that want the feed pressure supported. Five-stage, nominal 75 GPD, integrated booster pump, NSF-certified 3.0-gallon tank.

The manufacturer identifies the membrane and the storage tank as NSF certified, not the complete system.

Signature 75

Cahaba Signature 75 Drinking water

$1,295 installed
See Signature 75

Our premium traditional-tank RO system.

For homes that want the top traditional RO system Cahaba offers. It is also nominal 75 GPD and it also has a booster pump, so production is what the two share rather than what separates them.

The storage tank is identified as NSF certified, not the complete system.

Tankless

Cahaba Slim 800

$1,295 installed

A premium alternative alongside the range, not a rung above it. Choose Slim 800 for cabinet space and direct-flow performance: high-output RO that makes water on demand instead of storing it. Nominal 800 GPD, which again is a rate of production. It is a different shape of answer to the same question. See Slim 800.

How it works

How to read the range

Two decisions, not one.

What you want treated, and how much water you use, are two different questions.

This is the rule the whole Cahaba range is built on. It holds at the kitchen tap just as it holds for the house. What do you want treated and how much water do you need are two questions with two different answers.

The twelve whole-home combinations, laid out
Decision one
What do you want treated?

On the drinking-water range, this is the platform you pick. Each one carries its own certification statement. We quote those statements word for word, and each stays with the system it belongs to.

Essential Performance Signature 75 Tankless
Decision two
How much water do you need?

This is production. Nominal GPD is how many gallons a day the system can make. The other half is whether the water pressure feeding it wants support. Both are questions about your plumbing rather than your water, and for a lot of Birmingham homes the smaller number is plenty.

50 GPD 75 GPD 800 GPD

Each answer stands on its own. A busy household that mainly cares about taste is well served by the larger production and the simpler claim set. A quiet household with one specific worry may want a different platform and no extra output at all. Whole-home systems split the same way: treatment level and system size are picked separately there too, each sized to the home in front of us. See how the whole-home range is laid out.

Questions

The honest answers.

What does $1,095 cover?
Everything for a standard installation: the equipment, licensed labor, commissioning and a 12-month workmanship warranty. Standard installation means an accessible cold-water shut-off under the sink, an existing faucet hole or a countertop we can drill, a standard trap, and room in the cabinet. That is $1,095 including standard installation, subject only to unusual site conditions confirmed before scheduling.
What does the booster pump actually do?
A reverse-osmosis membrane works against the water pressure feeding it, so the more pressure it has, the more it has to work with. The Performance 75 builds that support into the system, which is why we list it for homes wanting higher production or homes where the feed pressure could use the help. For a figure specific to your house, ask us on the call and we will tell you what we can measure rather than estimate.
Should I choose this or the Pure 50?
Pure 50 at $995 suits most homes: normal household demand and adequate feed pressure. Performance 75 at $1,095 suits a house that wants higher production, or that wants the feed pressure supported. It is a demand question about your plumbing rather than a verdict on your water, and plenty of people ask about the 75 and happily leave with the 50.
Does it remove more than the Pure 50?
The step up from Pure 50 is production and feed-pressure support. Higher GPD describes how fast treated water is made, and a five-stage configuration describes how the system is built. Each platform carries its own certification statement and we quote each one exactly where it belongs, so if reduction of a specific contaminant is what you are shopping for, ask us and we will read you the wording for both systems before you choose.
How is this different from the Signature 75?
Both are nominal 75 GPD and both include a booster pump, so production is what they share. The documented difference is the claim set, and we state each one exactly. On Performance 75, The manufacturer identifies the membrane and the storage tank as NSF certified, not the complete system. On Signature 75, The storage tank is identified as NSF certified, not the complete system. Signature 75 is our premium traditional-tank RO system at $1,295. Ask us and we'll walk you through which one fits your situation.
Can someone else service it?
Yes, by design. It is a standard platform from an established manufacturer, with consumables stocked by water-treatment suppliers, so any plumber can service it. You get the filter specifications at handover and can buy cartridges wherever you like, or have us handle it. No contract, no auto-enrollment.

Wondering about the rest of the house? Whole home

Chlorine at every tap, hard water, UV. Treatment level and system size are chosen separately there, and both get sized to your home. Plenty of people start at the kitchen tap and stay there happily.
